Journeywise ("we", "our", or "us") builds a private, offline-first travel-planning app. This Privacy Policy explains how the Journeywise iOS app ("the App") and this website handle information. Our core principle is simple: your travel data stays on your device.
1. Information we do not collect
The App works without an account and without a backend server. The trips, itineraries, expenses, budgets, notes, and personalization you create are stored locally on your device only. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or have access to this content. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the App.
2. Subscriptions & purchases
Premium subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. To manage subscription entitlements, we use RevenueCat, which processes a non-identifying purchase token and an anonymous app user ID to confirm whether a subscription is active. This does not include your name, email, or travel data. See Apple's and RevenueCat's privacy policies for how they handle purchase data.
3. This website
This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which may process basic, aggregated server logs (such as IP address and request data) for security and performance. If you submit the contact form, the information you provide (name, email, message) is sent to us via our form provider solely to respond to your inquiry.
4. Notifications
If you enable reminders, notifications are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. We do not operate a push server and cannot see your reminders.
5. Children's privacy
Journeywise is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
6. Your control over your data
Because your data lives on your device, you are always in control. You can export a backup at any time, restore it, or delete all data from within the App. Deleting the App removes its local data from your device.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date.
